Jennifer Cardini ist seit mehr als 15 Jahren eine der wenigen (ja!) Frauen im internationalen elektronischen Musikzirkus. Ihr Einfluss kommt direkt aus Detroit, Chicago und, na klar, aus Köln. Als sie 1998 nach Paris zog, wurde sie Teil der ersten Generation französischer DJs, die in Berlin-Manier minimalistisch auflegten und war somit Teil der Minimal-Bewegung, bevor diese überhaupt populär wurde. Sie wurde Resident in den bedeutendsten Pariser Clubs, startete ihre eigenen Correspondant Partys und hatte dadurch immer wieder Gigs auf der ganzen Welt, zum Beispiel in der Fabric in London, im Womb in Tokyo und in Berlin im Tresor und der Panorama Bar. 2008 war es dann soweit: als überhaupt erster DJ aus Frankreich wurde sie in die Kölner Kompakt-Familie aufgenommen. Parallel hat sie ihr eigenes Label Correspondant gestartet, auf dem sie ihre eigene Musik raushauen kann. Am kommenden Freitag erscheint ihre Compilation bei Kompakt.
